What is the typical program length?
The typical program duration at Lakeview Recovery Community ranges from three to six months. Extended stays beyond three months may be necessary based on clinical treatment program indications and must have a supporting rationale.

The Purposeful Pathways Program is an integral component of our therapeutic community model, incorporating "Work as Therapy" to provide residents with meaningful work experiences that foster responsibility, skill development, and a sense of purpose.
What does a typical day look like?
A typical day at Lakeview Recovery Community includes a structured schedule with activities such as fitness/mindfulness sessions, therapy and education sessions, skill development workshops, community mindfulness activities, and evening programs like fellowship meetings and guest speakers.
Will I be able to contact my family after admission?
Yes, once you have settled in, after seven days you will be able to contact your family. This initial period is designed to help you settle into the program and focus on your recovery.
What is Family Visitation Day?
Family Visitation Day is an opportunity for your loved ones to visit and spend time with you at Lakeview Recovery Community. These visits are scheduled and supervised to ensure they are beneficial and supportive for your recovery. Family members can participate in family support sessions and learn more about the journey of recovery.
Is there a store on-site for my needs?
Yes, we have a community store on-site that provides all the essentials you might need during your stay, including personal hygiene products, snacks, and other necessities. Purchases can be made using the Lakeview store card.
Can I smoke during my stay?
Smoking is permitted during designated times and in two specified locations on the site. We also provide support for those wishing to quit smoking, including access to smoking cessation programs and resources.
What kind of support systems are in place?
Our support systems include dedicated roles such as a clinical team, medical staff, and support care workers. Additionally, we offer peer support groups and family involvement programs.

What health guidelines should I follow during my stay?
Maintain personal health through regular medical check-ups, medication management, balanced nutrition, adequate sleep, and regular physical activity. Adhere to hygiene practices and participate in scheduled fitness activities.
What emergency procedures are in place?
We have comprehensive safety procedures, including fire safety drills, evacuation plans, medical emergency protocols, and severe weather plans. First aid kits, Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs), and naloxone kits are available on-site.
How does Lakeview Recovery Community support dietary needs?
We accommodate special dietary requirements and allergies through initial assessments and ongoing communication with kitchen staff. Special meals are prepared as needed, and residents participate in meal preparation and clean-up as part of the community’s work therapy program.
